
About me
Rochelle Wright is a pianist, composer, and arranger.
In 2023, Rochelle completed their Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (ARCT) certificate in Piano Performance. Upon graduation, Rochelle was awarded a National Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music for achieving the highest marks in Music Theory out of the entire 2023 ARCT graduating class.
Rochelle is currently in their final year of a Bachelor of Music Degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Along with the undergraduate degree, Rochelle is also working towards the completion of a Certificate in Jazz and a Certificate in the Foundations of Drama.
Rochelle has performed as a pianist with the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra, University of Saskatchewan Wind Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble, Keegan Isaac's Itsy Bitsy Big Band, jazz combos, piano/accordion-fiddle duos, as well as a soloist and collaborative accompanist (with wind, brass, string, and percussion soloists). Rochelle has performed at the Saskatoon and Saskatchewan Music Festivals, The Bassment Jazz Club in Saskatoon, and as a background musician at weddings, conventions, and award ceremonies in Saskatoon.
Rochelle's compositional work has been featured at the Saskatoon Strata Festival of New Music.
Rochelle currently resides in Saskatoon, working as a student, freelance musician, and composer.
